How To Change Email Password In Touchdown

  1. Home
  2. Mobile
  3. Android

We changed our Exchange passwords this weekend. Now I have several users with Moto X phones running Android 5.0.2 and Touchdown HD 8.5 who are no longer receiving email because the password doesn't match. However, I haven't been able to find where to change the password on the phones. If I go to Settings, Accounts, Touchdown HD the only option is to check or uncheck contacts. If I go to Settings, Accounts, Email it doesn't list the exchange email account.

I would appreciate any help with this ASAP.

Found it. Apparently the icon with the 3 sliders is settings. Did I mention how much I dislike Android? The only reason they're even using Touchdown is because we kept having problems with the built-in mail client.

You set it within the settings menu in the Touchdown app itself, not via Androids central settings menu.

How do I access that? If I click the 3 bars in the top right corner it doesn't give me options for settings.

I'm on Touchdown (not HD) and from the main Touchdown screen where you get the overview of mail/calendar etc. I can just go to the dots in the bottom right and it'll give a menu with stuff like settings, diagnostics, sync now etc.

I don't have any dots in the bottom right...

It took me half a day to find it :-) On LG G2 with Android 5.0.2, to get to settings for Touchdown you have to hold the square icon(home touch button)  for 2  seconds then the setting option will show up(you have to be on the main touchdown screens like Today screen)...

I don't like the new home touch buttons, they are too confusing. Circle is home screen! Why not keep it a home icon like before? :-)

I have a question. I need to change my password in Touchdown. When I go to the menu and push "change pin" it won't do anything. All the other icons work but not "change pin". Thanks Connie

Hold down your device home button for a sec or 2 and it will show the options screen that has setting icon for changing password, for my note 4 it is the left icon the two overlapping rectangles on the left.
